Things have been a little crazy over the festive period and so the blog has been a bit neglected. I’m starting to get on top of things again now so keep your eye out for more regular posts, I’ve got a few ideas for the New Year.
In the mean time here is a quick look at some of the makeup I’ve been wearing over the festive period.
I wore this glitter cut crease for a dinner with friends a few weeks ago, I think it would be perfect for New Years Eve. I used MAC reflects pearl to achieve the glitter.
I was just playing with some new glitter when I tried this red lip so I don’t have much other makeup on, however I did where it later with a black winged liner and lashes and I absolutely loved it. Another good one for a New Year’s Eve party, not great if you’re going for a meal though due to the glitter.
I created this green and gold halo eye with the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca palette and one of the MAC duochrome eyeshadows that they recently came out with in “I like to watch”. I have it on here with a peachy lip but I liked it better with something a bit deeper like a brown or a rose nude colour.
Finally this is my favourite look that I wore over Christmas. I’ve been loving the monotone trend recently, where you use different shades of the same colour for the whole of the makeup. I chose grey which I thought might be difficult to work with but it actually turned out really well with the grey glitter liner. Grey is also a great shade to contour with so I could use it instead of a blush. Unfortunately the lighting was terrible as I was back in the UK and it’s pretty much dark permantely at this time of year so I have included a picture with and without the flash.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I should be back soon with some other faces to paint so you don’t have to keep looking at mine!
