Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

As usual I’m a bit late to the party with this discovery but I just had to share it with you in case, like me, this wonder product had passed you by. The product in question is of course the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I know you’re all rolling your eyes because I’m raving about yet another eyeshadow palette but bear with me!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

As the name would suggest the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette is full of beautiful chocolate browns. It also contains some colours to keep things from getting too monotonous. The colours are very wearable and complement the brown shades beautifully, making this Chocolate Bar the perfect neutral palette.

I think this palette is incredible for traveling with. It isn’t too big and contains enough variety to cover all eventualities. You won’t need to take any other shadows with you. I recently took it with me on a trip to Wales. It has the matte neural shades for day to day makeup as well as some shimmers, colours and deeper shades for more of a dressed up makeup. I attended a friend’s wedding whilst I was in Wales and used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette to create this look:

To create this look I used white chocolate all over as a base, salted caramel as a transition shade, semi sweet in the outer corner and then marzipan on the mobile lid.

I created a similar look using cherry cordial in the outer crease and creme brule on the mobile lid, I kept the other shades the same. The look is very similar just a little warmer.

L-R Marzipan, Hazelnut, Gilded Ganache, Black Forest Truffle, Candied Violet, Cherry Cordial, Creme Brule, Strawberry Bon Bon

As you can see from the swatches the shadows are beautifully pigmented. The only colour I was a little disappointed with is candied violet. The colour payoff isn’t as good as I’d have liked, but one shadow out of 16 isn’t bad!

Thanks for reading everyone, and if you’ve tried any other Too Faced palettes let me know.

Omg this palette looks so cute (packaging wise). I’ve seen it at Ulta but always ended up getting the Lorac palette. Some of my shadows are hitting the pan so I definitely want to get a new one. This one looks really good — thanks for showing the swatches! Will definitely have to give this a second look next time I’m at the make-up store 🙂 xo, sharon
