Blush: Blogger’s Christmas Beauty Brawl

Day 5 of the beauty brawl and we’re half way through already! I’m quite enjoying this whole blogging everyday business. Hopefully that’s a good sign and I’ll manage to do it all the way up to Christmas Day! Today we are all reviewing a blush of our choosing. I have an obscene amount of blush in my collection and I always find myself reaching for the same two (MAC warm soul and Milani luminoso if you’re wondering) so this year I vowed not to buy any more. I think I managed to stick to it pretty well actually. Until now! I have heard such good things about Sleek blushes so I decided to try out the shade “life’s a peach”.

As you can see from the picture, it is definitely more orange than it is peach in the pan. In fact I was a little bit terrified that it would be too orange when applied to the cheeks, but luckily that’s not the case! It applies as a beautiful creamy peach shade which I imagine would be universally flattering. It is matte, which is another bonus. I like a matte blush because it means you can add shimmer to other areas of the face should you wish. It also means that if you have any texture or bad skin on your cheeks it does not highlight the problem area. It applies smoothly and blends nicely so you have no fear of patchy cheeks. The only bad thing I can say about this blush is that it lacks a little in pigmentation so you end up using quite a bit of it. This could be seen as a positive though as it means you can never apply too much. I was very, very impressed with this product and I’ll definitely be buying more from the Sleek range.

The size of the blush is fantastic. The casing it very small and compact, but you still get a generous amount of product inside. None of the packaging is wasted which I appreciate, nobody wants to lug around a giant case with barely any product inside (*cough cough* Burberry blush, I’m talking to you). It contains a mirror too which is teeny but you never know when you might need it. I wish it could be a little more luxurious and pretty on the outside but that really is a minor complaint.

The price is fantastic! At 4.99 (UK pounds) it’s a total steal. The product is comparable to MAC or other high-end brands so you really are getting a bargain. Go buy it now!!

Have any of you guys tried this blush? What do you think of it? And what other Sleek products do I need to try now? Let me know! I’m back in the UK in a week or so so I’d love to get my mittens on some more!
